P0750 is a shift-solenoid A malfunction code. It means the computer sees a problem with the circuit or hydraulic response tied to solenoid A. It does not prove the transmission needs to come out.
Why Solenoid A Matters
Solenoid A is part of the valve-body control system that routes fluid for specific shifts. If it does not open or close correctly, the transmission may start in the wrong gear, miss a shift, shift harshly, or set limp mode to protect itself.
What We Rule Out First
The simple checks matter. Low fluid, a loose connector, damaged wiring, or contamination in the pan can all cause a solenoid code. Replacing the solenoid without checking those conditions is how repeat failures happen.
Symptoms Worth Writing Down
- Which shift feels wrong: takeoff, 1-2, 2-3, or highway upshift.
- Whether the issue is worse cold, hot, or after sitting in traffic.
- Whether the vehicle goes into limp mode or stays in one gear.
- Whether the speedometer, ABS, or engine codes are also present.
- Whether a previous fluid service changed the behavior.
Possible Repairs
The repair might be a solenoid, harness, connector, valve-body service, fluid and filter service, or internal transmission repair. The difference comes from testing. A clean pan and failed electrical test point one direction. Burnt fluid and clutch material point another.
